Day 2! We tried to wake up bright and early, but after a 19 hour day on Sunday, we were running a little behind. Once we got to Epcot we hightailed it to Test Track, then got Fastpasses for Soarin' and rode stand-by. Then, we knocked out Living with the Land, Seas with Nemo, and Turtle Talk with Crush. Turtle Talk was a little different that our last visit, so that was refreshing. It was BIL and SIL's first Talk with Crush, and they loved it so much they made another visit later in the week.
By this time we had to decide to eat or soar over California, so we soared and then had lunch at Sunshine Seasons. They changed the bread on my favorite sandwich from herb foccacia to ciabatta, so I was little bummed, but it was still good. After lunch we rode Journey to Imagination - I adore this ride from some strange reason. I wish I could have experienced its heyday, back when Dreamfinder had a Figment of Imagination. The gift shop did have a cute shirt with Dreamfinder on it though. Then, we rode Spaceship Earth. I love the silly “future” stories at the end of the ride. I take a picture of it each trip. That concluded Future World for us, so we headed to World Showcase. On the Odyssey walkway, Tom got a voice mail telling us how bad the weather might get at home, our first indication that the snow we saw on the forecast could be a crippling storm. Just the kind of stuff you want to worry about on vacation! We spent a lot of time in Mexico, although I really can't remember why. So much time that I left the group and toured Norway and China by myself.

Eventually we left Mexico and started a Kim Possible mission in Norway. I'm not sure if I finished the mission or not - I thought I did, and then it kept talking so I just closed it and returned it. I saw lots of people doing missions, even other adult groups like ourselves.
Then we hung out in Germany for a bit. Everyone got giant soft pretzels except for me - Karamell Kuche, here I come! Everything looked yummy, but I settled on a chocolate and caramel covered pretzel stick. Mmm! Tom didn't want to finish his pretzel, so he gave the rest to me and he went to get a bottle of water. As I was munching on it, I saw Snow White's meet n greet area and pointed it out to my BIL and SIL. As my head was turned toward them, with my arm outstretched, I felt bird wings beat on my arm as a bird tried to steal the pretzel out of my outreached hand! Ahh! I froze, totally stunned by what had happened. The bird did not succeed in stealing my pretzel, but I threw the rest away ![]() By the time we made it to America, we caught the end of Voices of Liberty. I love listening to them, beautiful voices and meaningful songs. After they finished up we found out technical difficulties had canceled the next American Adventure show. So we continued on, and toured Japan, France and Morocco. I love wandering around Morocco because you feel like you’ve been transported to a different place.

By this time we needed to get to the Magic Kingdom, so we hopped on the Tronorail to the TTC.
We elected for the ferry ride to the Magic Kingdom, it was very nice. We immediately made our way to Frontierland, where we plopped down on some benches and waited for the Main Street Electrical Parade. I'll admit, I'm not really into parades, but I liked this one better than Spectromagic. I know, I know, I'm in the minority on that one. By the time MSEP passed, it was time for our 7:50 Liberty Tree Tavern reservation. Since the park closed at 8, it didn't take long for the restaurant to clear out, but our waitress was very attentive and we got refills on several items. My SIL and I secretly planned to celebrate my BIL’s birthday at this dinner, so he was surprised with a nice chocolate cupcake. The staff still made a big deal about it even though we were practically alone in the restaurant. After dinner, we were escorted to the Liberty Square bridge and spent some time roaming around the empty hub and Main Street. There were lots of Photopass photographers out, and we got to watch the Kiss Goodnight from the hub. Eventually, we had to call it a night.

I took a video of the Kiss Goodnight, I'll try to see if there is a way I can post it. It is basically a little audio/castle light show that says Goodnight. It's cute. I didn't think about asking for another pretzel, but we had already eaten all but a few bites. After we were back from the trip I saw lots of reports from other people of being attacked by birds, mostly in the Magic Kingdom. They all said their victimized food was kindly replaced ![]()

Okay, I uploaded my video of the Kiss Goodnight to Facebook. I'm kind of Facebook illiterate though, so I'm not sure how to link to it. Click here. It happened all of a sudden, so I missed the first few seconds. The audio is hard to hear at times, but you get the overall feeling of it still.
