Hey ladies
The title says it all! Are there any excersises that REALLY work the BUTT? I do squats but I don't feel it in my butt but more in my thighs. Maybe I am doing them wrong. I need something to help lift what little I have. Of course I work at a computer 12 hours a day which doesn't help ![]() |

Have you tried Tao Bo? I have been doing them for about a week. I obviously have not seen the results yet, but I sure feel it in my butt, my lower stomach sides, my inner thighs and my arms. I am curious to hear other responses. I want to LOSE some of my butt. I used to have a tiny little butt, but it has started to grow.....so I am hoping that the Tao Bo will tighten it up. It needs a lift.

Well your very welcome! I am glad I made someone laugh today! linanglab: I have never done Taebo but I do have the original Billy Banks Taebo DVD sitting on my shelf LOL - I think you have inspired me to try it! PSL1013 and jakeandsophiesmom: OK it's a deal My boss said that climbing stairs reallys helps. He said to stay flat footed and lift with your heel rather than your toes. I wish I had a good gym close to me. I do better at gyms. I feel like I can't quit in front of a lot of people! But I live in the middle of nowhere KY, if you blink, you'll pass my town... ![]() |

A good butt exercise is to get a step of some kind, wether it be an exercise step or just a set of stairs. Step up with one foot, swing your opposite leg back and squeeze your butt cheeks. You can do this with weights as well if you want a more intense workout. Switch sides and just go back and forth. I do 50 on each leg, hopefully I'll be up to 100 soon.
Clear as mud? |

I just took a high def weight class and the ones that our instructor had us doing really helped.
Find a bench or stepper (chair high or lower) and stand parellel with it (on it). Step down with one leg (say left) but don't touch the floor flat footed go slowly down and only touch the floor with your heel. We did it without weights the first week and then tried with weights later. It really is hard. I started with 10 but hten worked up to 15. Then do the other leg, 2 sets total. The key is to try and do at least 10 without stopping but it's hard to keep your balance and not topple over. It's working your thighs at the same time, but you really have to tighten your glutes as your bending your legs to lower and tap your heel. I hope I explained that ok. Of course I'm also a huge fan of the stairmaster and gaunlet, i do those on my off run/treadmill days. I think that machine was made for women! It works the thighs, butts and waist. |

I will definately try anything!!
I have been doing a basic step excersise before I go walking. Th eonly thing I have is about 2 feet high, which is a little higher than a normal step, but it REALLY works and targets my glutes. It is the only thing I have ever done that I actually feel the burn where I want to. I have been doing that for about 2 months now and power walking at least 3 times a week. So, my daughter and I were out shopping this weekend and I saw my reflection in a window as we were walking down a strip mall and I said 'hey look my butt doesn't look flat'...and she said 'thats great Mom' LOL but I really do think it has lifted what little I have some ![]() |
