Avatar themed land coming to AK

I agree that it would have been better to have added something that was originally a Disney project instead of an outside project. That said, I am excited to see something new though. Hopefully, some great new attractions are being planned for it. I'm not really seeing how that would fit into the Animal Kingdom theme unless they had giraffes on Avatar.

This seems to be a pretty divisive topic on the fan community. In fact, I've stopped following discussions on it.

I think Tom Staggs addressed a lot of questions/objections in his Q&A.

I think I will be more excited to follow developments on this than I was/am for Fantasyland expansion. I've always been a fan of sci-fi, so I'm excited to see what the combination of sci-fi and Disney creates.

Wow. This may get us more trips to WDW as my husband is crazy about Avatar! LOL. The man watches it everytime he catches it on TV. LOL. The girls and I always scream and run out of the room. LOL.

Well, my family and I had more of a "Ooookay.... That's it?" feeling about the movie. But, if this is true and Avatar land is coming to Animal Kingdom i think it would be cool. I just hope that if they make a flying creature (sorry about the description) But you know the animal they were riding on similation type ride that it would be more of a thrill ride or coaster like than say Soarin.
