They don't really run by numbers. It's more like 2-4 is small, 6-8 is medium, 10-12 is large, etc. Or something like that. When you go in there, it shows you what the numbers correspond to. So you have a little bit of room. I have heard that they stretch out as you wear them.

They do look comfy, but they look a little low in the back. Combine that with the shape, size and location of the pockets, and I think the junk in my trunk would be quite noticable. I have a really long inseam too (35") so I doubt these would work for me.
